I come from a long line of teachers. My grandmother, mother, aunt, and three of my siblings have made or are making their living in education.
My first teacher was my mother. Ruti Moran was an insightful observer of life, a passionate artist, and a devoted teacher. From her I learned about the evolution and merits of creativity, intuition, structure, and mistakes.
My first Tai Chi teacher was Jou, Tsung Hwa. Master Jou loved, lived, and believed Tai Chi. I learned from him about abdominal breathing with all its manifestations and the new possibilities they have presented to me.
I had and still have many more teachers. I think everyone I encounter along the way has the potential of being a teacher. That potential comes to life when I pay attention and am willing to listen. I have found that my family and students are the best teachers of all!
I have been a teacher for the past twenty years, and wish to be one for the next twenty. I have worked with young children in many nursery schools and have trained students of all ages in the fields of Tai Chi, Chi Kung, and Meditation.
